Humana has provided my health care coverage for the past two years at the minimal premium of $25.00 monthly, taken from my Social Security so that it was not missed at all. In 2009 I was hospitalized five times with expenses totaling nearly a quarter million dollars. Humana handled everything with skilled precision! It was amazing to find a dedicated organization with caring personnel ready to assist with any and all occassions for contacting them.
Incredibly, I have a registered nurse who calls me every month to inquire about me, my concerns, condition, medications and so on. If a member has been in the hospital, Humana provides a two week supply of nutritious, pre-cooked and frozen meals delivered, at no cost, to your door! Now they have coverage for some OTC's as well as RX coverage, using the tier system as all insurance companies do.
Because I know my Humana, and because hospital charges and co-pays have increased virtually across the board for 2012, I am planning to go for a plan to give me improved coverage with $0 copay for doctors visits $0 for hospital days, tests, etc. Expensive? Considering my numerous specialists visits X the $40 I will not need to pay, I will save the difference in that alone. Just think if I have one visit to a hospital!
The Humana prescription service is named Right SourceRX. In almost two years of service they have made NO mistakes in my numerouse scripts. They are prompt no charge for regular shipping. They have a superior website and will keep in touch by e-mail and by phone.
Humana has ALWAYS been there for me from the first day their agent came to my home, explained everything until I understood, then called the company and set things up ! until today. That same agent will stop by next week to set up the new plan in the same fashion. I'm going with the greater plan friends because it is the smart thing for me.
If you are unhappy with your current coverage, I strongly recommend that you consider Humana coverage. Yes, I've compared the others. NOT even close.
Wishing each of you good health God bless. Margaret
