HORRIBLE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE LAURA GAUGHAN

Review for: American Alliance
i have insurance with United Auto Insurance. i however have split coverage and American Alliance is taking care of my claim. I have a brand new 2011 Scion tC. unfortunately it received flood damage only 8 months after my purchase after a heavy storm. it was a saturday morning when i walked out to my car and saw the damages. I tried to call my insurance but they are closed on the weekends, so i called my dealer. they advised me not to turn on the car and they offered to tow it to their location. monday came around and I made my claim first thing in the morning. Laura Gaughan was my adjuster and she told me it would be 24 to 48 hours before anyone could take a look at the car for an estimate and that by thursday she could have the estimate/check ready. on Wednesday i received a call from Laura Gaughan big bitch. she told me that someone had looked at my car that morning and she told me the estimated amount that have came up with in order to repair my car. i asked what the damages were on the vehicle and she rudely replied i don't know i wasn't the one that looked at it. laura had told me that if i wanted toyota to repair my car that my insurance wouldn't cover that completely and the difference i would have to pay out of pocket. toyota charges a higher rate then what my insurance covers. so she told me to take it to Arlington Collision a shop that they work w and would cover the repair . after getting off the phone w her i drove to the dealer where my car was to pick it up. when i got there to pick up the car the service guy told me that my car was undrivable and unsafe. why wouldn't the adjuster have known that if someone had already inspected it he also said that we were being charged for towing and storage. the car had been there for 4 days over $200. he said that insurances usually cover this. On thursday i called laura back and asked her if they were gonna cover the towing and storage fees. she said no because i didnt have one of there guys do it. i said but in my policy it saiys u cover emergency towing.she said that it wasn't there fault that i took the car to toyota dealer. so then i asked well if u would have informed us that u wouldn't cover earlier when the calim was made and you new where it was at, we would have had the car out of there on monday and avoided the extra storage fees. She then responded by actually saying that i should have just left the car in the parking lot where it originally flooded to avoid the charges. i was shocked! any idiot would tell u to not leave the car sitting in the sewer water to avoid further damage. i told her i wanted the car towed to arlington toyota asap through there towing company so i would avoid getting charged yet another storage charge. At the end of that day i called toyota and asked if my car had been picked up by my insurance. they said that the car was still there. i called laura back to check with her as well. she told me that she already put in the request. i said can u look up and check where it is at. i gave her my information and she said that the car had already been towed to arlington collision. it didn't make sense why toyota said the car was at there location and why laura said its at another. i took matters in to my own hands and drove to arlington toyota it was the closest of the 2 and asked to see my car. they said they never received it. Laura had lied to me! the guys offered to call laura and ask y she had told me that. laura got nervous. she offered to pay if i got charged another storage fee from toyota only because i had busted her for lying to me. the next day was thursday i waited for a cal from her bc i remember her saying she was gonna call to tell me that the check was ready. no call. Friday i called to ask if the check was ready. she rudely replied i haven't called u because nothing has been done to the car yet and i don't have the check ready. when something happens we will call u. it is now tuesday again and i have yet to receive a call and my car has only been sitting this entire time. i feel completely mislead by her and i don't feel comfortable w her handling my claim. i don't feel that she has the best intentions for me or has my best interests in mind. i am to the point where i am scared to call her because of the way she snaps at me. i pray that this process speeds up so that i don't have to deal w people like this. u can bet that i will be canceling my insurance as soon as this claim is over. its such a shame that because of one bad seed a company lost a customer. especially for United auto insurance bc it because of these people that u have bad reviews.
