I had a policy with Blue Cross and paid by the quarter. When I got company insurance I found I could not immediately cancel myBlue Cross. I contacted them on the 3rd of the month and expected a refund for the rest of the month that I had alrady paid, but they would not return the amount that would represent double coverage. They also stated that Blue Cross would become the secondary insurance for that 27 days! Something is wrong when you cannot cancel your insurance effective immediately. I can cancel by car insurance and get a refund for the unused portion. HELP! This needs to be changed.
