America's Health Care needs improvement

I have an inherited Degenerative Disc Disease. This is not something I chose to have but passed on to me by my mother. My husband's company doesn't offer insurance and NO ONE will cover me without asking a small forturne. I am too disabled for most companies to hire me and yet not disabled enough to claim disability which would allow me to get Medicaid. I was working for Wal-Mart and was on their co. insurance until yet another unexpected surgery put me on Leave of Absense. Wal-Mart's policy is if you've been out more than 12 weeks you get fired. Well complications from my surgery arose and to date 10/28/09 I am still not 100 and it's been 28 weeks without being able to work. I'm currently on physical therapy it's helping but expected to last an additional 4 weeks. I only have coverage through my previous employer for 18 months before I am no longer eligible to receive it and they drop me, then what am I suppose to do. Let my discs in my spine rupture so that I am confined to a wheelchair? Will someone insure me then? Do I have to be suffering to get decent reasonable health insurance? Does my quality of life have to go down to the point where I dread waking up in the morning and no longer able to dress myself or take care of myself before anyone will insure me? Is this what American standards have been lower too? If so, I pity America and what she has become. If we would stop passing out medical insurance to illegals and only give it to law abiding American Citizens then maybe our costs would go down. I'm not against immigration, I think it's wonderful for people to want better for their families but do it the right way. The way it was when we were still the Great American Melting Pot. Back in the day you had to have a sponser, have a job, have a place to live, have 30 days to be able to speak the language and become an american citizen. Why take away the benefits of tax paying Americans to give them to people who don't appreciate us, the country their living in or our laws and ship all their hard earned dollars from the jobs they've stolen from us to their families back in another country without paying one red cent in taxes to the country that is supporting them.
